Exhibition: The HOLY LAND in the 19th Century

The JEWISH NATIONAL LIBRARY at the Hebrew University Compound in Jerusalem (Givat Ram) is running an exhibition about the history of the HOLY LAND (Israel) in the 19th century. 



 
The American writer Herman Melville (Moby Dick) on the Jews in, what is now called Israel.



Already in the early 19 hundreds, Christian missionaries made their way to Israel.
