Whereas the haredi site "Kikar Shabbat" reports about Asher Dahan as if he was a Zaddik, the "Be'Chadrei HaCharedim" remain much more objective. On "Kikar Shabbat", Dahan's neighbours of the haredi town El'ad claim that the murderer has been an important community member delivering great Shiurim.
"Be' Chadrei HaCharedim" calls Asher Dahan a "mad murderer" who went to see Rabbi Elazar several times in order to get advice in relationship matters. Neighbours claim that, lately, Dahan started threatening important community members. He is mentally disturbed, on medication but there has never been a violent attempt hurting anyone. The site also points out that Asher Dahan is a Ba'al Teshuva.

ReplyDeleteIt said that he tried killing the Rav in the past. I don't know whether this is true but if so, why was he allowed to go and speak to Baba Elazar ?

ReplyDeleteYes, he tried in the past but without success. Why was he allowed? I presume that the Rav was too good and believed that he made teshuva for his past attempts.
By the way, I read in Charedi media that he believed the Rav was Moshiach ben Yosef and the day before the murder, he davened the Yom Kippur service. When asked why was he praying the YK service while we were in Tammuz, he answered "I need to pray the YK service so that Moshiach ben Yosef won't die!"

Anybody knows what medications he was on? Sometimes antidepressants can cause people to commit terrible violence and they have no control over themselves. What medications exactly was he on? Which doctor prescribed the medications? How much?
ReplyDeleteLet's talk straight elazar abuhetzeira robbed and conned for over 20 years god was angry at him. for stealing so much money. when people came for a blessing with out knowing they will be robbed. he was punished. to pay for his crimes elazar abuhetzeira was a crook.
