The Satmarer Rebbe Aharon Teitelbaum has arrived in Bnei Brak. The followers of Rebbe Aharon have their own Kiryiah in Bnei Brak called Kiryat Satmar. Before the Rebbe arrived at the local Satmarer Yeshiva, he went to see his father in law, theold Vishnitzer Rebbe in order to find out about his health.

There is a question I always had in my mind: why is it that the followers of Rebbe Aharon are so violent? I know there is an internal fight between the followers of both Satmar Rebbe, but I find the followers of Rebbe Aharon more violent than those of Rebbe Zalman.

ReplyDeleteI don't have an answer, as the situation between the two Satmar branches it completely different than in New York. In Mea Shearim / Ge'ulah, both groups live in peace. At least one doesn't hear about fights. In Bnei Brak, on the other hand, you basically only have one Satmar community: The followers of Rebbe Aharon.
