No SIMCHAT BEIT HASHOEVA in Mea Shearim for Outsiders !

B"H

The Israeli haredi website "Chadrei HaCharedim" published a so called "Historical News": The three biggest chassidic groups of Jerusalem's ultra - Orthodox Mea Shearim, the Toldot Aharon, the Toldot Avraham Yitzchak as well as Karlin - Stolin, decided not to let any outsiders entering their Simchat Beit HaShoeva celebrations this Sukkot. Whoever is NOT a member of the group won't be allowed to enter the Synagogues of those groups. Guards will be placed at all entrances !

In the past years, especially Mea Shearim was flooded with outsiders during Sukkot. Celebrations at every Synagogue and a lot to see as well as experiencing some "living Chassidut". However, it got too crowded and it became harder and harder to move, as there were thousands of people pushing in the narrow Mea Shearim alleyways. Not to forget the famous "Prostitution - Pritzut - Misbehaviour" of the outsiders causing the locals to complain.

There are many comments that this news is not true at all but my guess is that it is. We will see ... Nevertheless, it is a real pity because the Toldot Aharon are my favourite chassidic group ! Usually they let people into their Synagogue accept for Yom Kippur and Simchat Torah.

In order to get in this upcoming Sukkot I may have to wear my Toldot Aharon clothes including an apron.:-)
Anyone knows where I can rent such clothes ? :-)))
