The Kaliver Rebbe (Jerusalem), Rabbi Menachem Mendel Taub, held a Yahrzeit Tish last night. The Yahrzeit of his father Rabbi Yechiel Yehudah.
Photo: HaredimThe Kaliver Rebbe is an Auschwitz survivor. The Nazi - Killer Dr. Joseph Mengele did medical experiments on him and due to these medical sufferings, the Kaliver Rebbe cannot grow a beard.

ReplyDeleteFirst of all, it is accurate. Haredi sites have been writing a lot about the Rebbe's Holocaust experience. And the Rebbe talks about it himself:

Furthermore, his history is very well - known and not a secret !
This great man's history is not a medical condition of his own. It's the result of his terrible suffering by the notrious Rasha, Yimach Shimo!
