B"H

Yesterday, the Israeli Jewish Book Fair (Shavua HaSefer) opened its gates. The last day of the fair is going to be June 20th and until then, Hebrew books can be bought with plenty of discounts.
Books in Israel are extremely expensive and many Israelis are using the opportunity of buying new books during the days of the fair. For English speakers: There will be some English or French books as well but not of such a great variety.

Friday, June 12: Public readings including music is taking place at various cafes in Tel Aviv. Time: 3.00 - 5.00pm in the afternoon.

Fairs can be found in a couple of bigger towns / cities throughout the country. The biggest events are taking place in Tel Aviv (Kikar Rabin) and in Jerusalem (Gan HaPa'amon - Bell Park).
