Tragedy in Jerusalem

B"H

Shabbat is starting soon and I don't want to depress anyone. However, maybe you have heard it already or, in case if not, here is the terrible news:

Last night at about 8:30pm (Jerusalem time) a Palestinian terrorist from East - Jerusalem ran amok in the Jerusalem national religious Yeshiva MERCAZ HARAV.
Mercaz HaRav was founded by the first Israeli Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi, Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak HaCohen Kook, and is THE flagship of the national religious movement in the country.

Eight students were killed and more than 30 wounded. In about 20 minutes, a mourning service is taking place in front of the Mercaz HaRav Yeshiva in Kiryat Moshe. Later on, the funerals are taking place. After some years of peace, Jerusalem is back in the headlines.

Although we should be joyful on Shabbat and especially on Rosh Chodesh Adar B, Jerusalem is going to have a rather sad Shabbat.

My plans are as usual:
1. Going for Maariv to Karlin - Stolin tonight.
2. Shabbat Meal at Rabbi Mordechai Machlis.
3. Tish - I haven't decided yet which one.
4. Shabbat morning: Going for Shacharit, apparently to Toldot Aharon.

Despite the tragic attack, I wish you a great Shabbat and a joyful Adar B !!!!
